I’ve always liked Mr. Ninomiya.

Ninomiya-san was great in the old movie called Ao no something.

This guy is weird, there’s something about him.

I said talked about it on my radio program at that time, and received many telltale mails,

about how strange that guy was.

For instance he was picking his nose behind Tamori-san on Music Station.

He’s doing it on purpose knowing he is an idol.

As us comedians, idol is a collaborated fabrication.

Does it matter as long as it is exciting? Whether it is real or fake.

The atmosphere is collaborated by the audience and us, so it is a collaborated fabrication.

Idol is alright to be nothing but fake.

Mr. Ninomiya was on Jonetsu Tairiku. There he said, “Idols are great. They can totally read the atmosphere. They understand what is asked of them in a second.”

How enlightened. Compared to Mr. Ninomiya what was I? Not at all understanding.

Until then, just playing pretence was the history of Johnny’s, but Arashi along with Nino are knowingly acting as they do what would be funny.

I was on Himitsu no Arashichan as a ghost story teller.

Leader is a man of a super degree. Emotionless like Warsman

He does not get upset at all.

We scared the pants off them, but he wouldn’t get scared.

We tried to scare him with ghosts and spirits but we couldn’t shake him.

Then the drama he is starring is Maou, isn’t that something. Surely we can’t scare him with ghosts and spirits, he’s the one who controls them.

The balance is amazing.

I spoke a lot with Arashi fans. There’s the prince now you know. Mr. Matsujun.

By the way, guys in the audience may be getting bored but I want you guys to pay attention too. Arashi is really great, their albums and such.

Mr. Matsujun knows what’s going on. Mr. Matsujun used to be, as a Jr., a baka-chara.

He was doing the part Mr. Aiba is taking currently.

I want to talk about Mr. Aiba too. This is going to be a long lecture. However, Mr. Matsujun is the prince now.

I heard Mr. Matsujun comes in one hour earlier than the rest of them.

He needs to bring his character up before the take.

He knows what he is expected of. Because he knows his position, he completes his role as is.

During their Jr. time, Mr. Sakurai was assuming Mr. Matsujun’s position. But Mr. Sakurai is sugoi you know. His parent went to Tokyo University or something. He’s brilliant. So, he brought his position up to where he is. But I think he did it under the influence of Mr.Ninomiya. Everyone was influenced by Mr. Ninomiya.

Finally the leader who is like Warsman I mentioned before.

There were no such leaders previously. Leaders are usually like Tokio’s Matsuoka kun. (With a pompadour on his head) Yeah. Leaders are like that. Like a little silly and capricious but everyone counts on him.

Not so. That one is not so at all.

He is like undisturbed. He is extraordinary like that. But he has his own world. And he watches over the others from one step behind.

(Those are the dispositions of the leaders. That must be why he became the leader isn’t that?)

No but there are not too many leaders like that in Japan. They usually walk ahead.

What is great about SMAP is that the leader used to be a Yankee (delinquent youths). Yankee has a constant marketing share. It’s a huge Japanese culture. Where there is a Yankee it sells well.

With that ghost thing he reacted better than comedians.

This week’s was a costly production. There’s going to be zombies chasing after them at the end, coming out of a pond. It took a whole day to prepare. It was like a movie filming.

Aiba-kun’s reaction was really great. His “Gya~~” would score perfect as a comedian.

He was shouting like “Honto Yada!” then the stray dogs started to howl outside.

He is innocent. He easily cries and laughs.

(They all have totally different characters then.)

Yeah, but if you think about it, it can be taken as they are making them up. You know?

They all know what they are asked of and are composing their characters maybe.

The five of them usually seem cool but not in their live concerts. They’d instigate the crowds like “Is that all you’ve got?”
