総務省統計局がまとめた一般家庭がスポーツに支出する金額は、2000年のシドニーオリンピック以降減少していましたが、前回のアテネオリンピック以降は増加しているということです。
一世帯当たりのスポーツ用品の購入代や教室の月謝など年間の支出額は、シドニーオリンピックが行われた2000年の4万3500円から2003年の3万 8000円まで減少。しかし、アテネオリンピックのあった2004年は3万9900円となり、2007年に5年ぶりに4万円台に上がったということです。

Sugoi! Ne, Kinkeshi. I had them too. I recall my friend had collected a lot. Yeah, had many different things.
This sort of things is addictive. Such as the Gunkeshi from “Gundam” and what else… Gachagacha (toy capsule gumball machine) is like potent ne, you know.
Ah, come to think of it, I did Gachagacha just the other day after a long while. They are expensive now! They are like 300yens and 500yens, aren’t they. Yes. There was a “Dragon Ball” Gachagacha, so I thought of trying because I wanted the Vegeta one, so I went for it. But then I got Piccolo one. I was like “ouch”. Not that I don’t like Piccolo but I wanted Vegeta.
So then, I gave it to the dresser-san from the drama, “You can have one,” saying, “What I really wanted was the Vegeta one.” So, several days later he gave me the Vegeta one. We made a great Dragon Ball exchange. Yep. No matter how old you get, that sort of things is irresistible!

Well, when I came home the other day, there was nashi so I had it. That juiciness of nashi, the overflowing juice when you bite in, and the crispy texture of nashi. I after all choose nashi. Yeah. Litchi is perhaps not in the season now is it. Yeah.
But again, when litchi is in season I become to give in to litchi. Yeah. Well, it’s like I can’t choose one over another. Yeah. I guess I like them both the same, not. I choose nashi for now! (declaring)

Say, but Arashi too is starting the Asia tour now. Last week, we finished the Arashi concerts at the National Stadium (Kokuritsu Kyogijo). Thank you truly, especially the ones who very kindly showed up at the concerts!
But we are now going to the Asia tour. Ne. Say but it’s exciting isn’t it. Well but I really wonder what kind of Asia tour it will be this year. What kind of interesting foods I shall taste and shall I be meeting many fangirls.

「今年の「24時間テレビ」で大ちゃんが注目してほしいところって、どんなところですか？是非、意気込みを聞かせて下さい」
「24 時間テレビ」4年ぶりですけどもね、またやらせていただくですね。まぁ、僕はね、今年は何するんでしょうかね。ええ。まぁ、僕が主にやるメインのところはですね、今回テーマが「誓い」ということでね、「誓い」という意味を込めてのなんか一つのどでかいオブジェ的な物を、巨大なアート作品を作ろうじゃないかっていうことでね、僕の企画はそうやって進んどるわけですけどもね。
皆さんのいろんなね、誓いの言葉だったりね、誓いがこもった絵だったりね、作った物だったりね、そういうのいろんなものをですね、一つのどでかいね、アート作品にしようじゃないかと。そういう中で僕もね、フィギア作ったりね、しますんで。
だから僕、分かんないですけど、24時間を通して何か作ってたり、結構ね、そういうことをしてるかもしれないですね。うん。だから結構ね、「4年前よりは忙しい」とスタッフさんに言われました。なので、あれから4歳、歳をとったんですけどもね、何処まで起きてられるかね、そこが勝負ですけどもね。ええ。
大丈夫です。僕は4年前と今では、今の方が体力もありますし、若いし、そんな眠くならないし、全然大丈夫ですから皆さん。もしかして、「大ちゃん寝ちゃうんじゃないか」と変な心配しないで下さい。そこで寝てたら「こいつはやっぱり歳をとったな」と思ってくれ。

Hence, I’ll be answering to the question from Mikako san who gave us today’s quiz.
“What do you think is most remarkable in this year’s ‘24Hour TV’ ? Please tell us your determination.”
We are hosting “24Hour TV” again after 4 years. Well, what will I be doing this year. Yes. Well, my main segment is, since the theme is the “Pledge” this year, I’ll be making a kind of a mega Objet like thing, a huge art piece. So my project is progressing along that line.
Everybody’s different pledges and paintings and artifacts about promises, those various things will be made into one mega art piece. Among that, I will be making figurines and stuff.
So I perhaps am making things through the 24H TV quite often. Yeah. So I was quite told by the staff-san, “You’ll be busier than 4 years ago.” So, although I’m four years older than then, it’s a gamble how much I could stay awake. Yes.
Daijoubu des. Compared with four years ago, I have more physical strength now, am still young and won’t get that sleepy, so I’m fine, folks. Don’t be worrying in vain that “Ohchan might fall asleep,” please. Then if I fall asleep, then please think, “He got old after all.”

Oah~. Ice-creams, they are umai aren’t they, after all. I ate them quite a lot this year. Like sherbets and such. Yes. Especially the vanilla kinds. Yes. I ate various though.
Say, it was especially hot this year~. For me, this year was the hottest! After all, wearing black suits in the mid summer is seriously intense. Yes. Like you are in a sauna all the time. But really, I felt businessmen’s pain very well. Every summer, they are going through this, that is.
There will be the fall after the summer, then the winter, which is coming after I tide over this hardship, I’m determined to fish a jackpot like katsuo (bonito) during this fall and winter.

今週末、8月29日（金）と30日（土）の二日間、横浜の臨港パークで「第1回みなとみらい大盆踊り」が開催されます。
みなとみらいエリアで「盆踊り」が行われるのは初めてで、西区の協力のもと、地元住民の交流を図ろうと企画されました。

This weekend on August 29th (Fri) and 30th (Sat) for two days, “The First Minato Mirai Great Bon-odori Festival” takes place in Yokohama Harbor Park.
This is the first time “Bon-odori festival” takes place in Minato Mirai area. It was organized with the joint efforts from the local council of Nishi-ku with the aim to bond the local residents.

なるほど。お祭りですよ。ねぇ。まぁ、そうですね、もう祭りしたいですね。
まぁ、でもね、そうですね、お祭りというものを最近やってないですね。うん。まぁ、違う意味でやってるって感じですね。やっぱコンサートとかね、僕の中ではあれがお祭りですね。うん。
だからやっぱり、あっ、でも、そうですね、今度やる時はね、太鼓叩いてね、盆踊りやれば結構盛り上がるかも分かんないですね。今、勝手に思ったんですけどね。うん。まぁ、たぶんスタッフさんとかメンバーに言ったらね、「そんな勝手なこと言うんじゃないよ」と言われてしまうのかも分からないですけどね。うん。
でも、これは一つの案として、いつかやれたらいいなと思いますけどね。うん。みんなでね、盆踊り踊ったらね、みんなのお祭りですよ。みんなでね、楽しめるということでね、これは一つリーダーとしてね、スタッフとメンバー4人に僕から言いますのでね。そこは一つ皆さん分かって下さい。ええ。ちゃんとこの話は通るかも分からないですよ。ねっ。

Well, but, say, I haven’t gone to festivals lately. Yeah. Well, I’ve been doing different kind of festivals. Like the concerts, that’s the festival for me. Yeah.
So after all, aha, so therefore, it may heat up the concert if we play Taiko (drum) and dance Bon-odori the next time. I just thought of it now on my own. Yeah. Well if I talk to the staffs or the members, they may dismiss my idea saying, “don’t be irrational.” Yeah.
But just as an idea, it would be nice if we could do it someday. Yeah. We all dance Bon-odori together. It would be our festival. So we all can enjoy. As the leader, I will talk to the staffs and four members. So you look forward to it. Yes. This project may go through. Ne!

I often find fruits prepared in the dressing rooms at the concert halls, and there are pineapples, pineapples are cut into bite-sizes, once you bite it there’s no stopping to it. Ee. So is pineapple juice, once you drink it, soon you want to drink it again.
Pineapple juice after bath, folks please try it too. That is really intriguing, really truly. Ee. That is happiness too. Yeah. After bath pineapple juice. It’s like the cafe au lait at the sentou (spa). Yes.

「いよいよ、来月から大ちゃん主演のドラマ「魔王」が始まりますが、今までの撮影でどれぐらいNGを出していますか？それはどんなNGですか？「NG大賞」狙っていますか？また、他に撮影中のエピソードがあれば教えて下さい」
なるほど。そういえば僕、まだNG出してないですね。っていうか、そんなに長いセリフってのもないんですけどもね(笑)
でもね、結構やっぱね、普段使わない言葉が多いんでね、最初覚える時、苦労したりしますよ、ちょっとだけ。ええ。
まぁ、エピソードというかね、「やっぱり俺は雨男だな」と思いましたね。ちょっと前にですね、晴れてるというか、雨降ってないシーンを撮んなきゃいけないんですけどもね、そん時にロケバス降りたらちょっと曇ってきて(笑)　そんでちょっと天気が怪しいんですけど、もう時間ないから撮るしかないみたいになって、そんで撮って、僕がロケバス入ったら晴れましたからね。うん。やっぱり俺は雨男だと。ええ。

Hence, I will be replying to the question from Makoto san of Kawasaki-shi.
“Finally, the drama starring Oh-chan “Maou” will start next month. How many NGs (outtakes/bloopers) have you made so far? And what kind of NGs are they? Are you aiming for the “NG Award” ? Also, please tell us if there are other happenings during the filming.”
I see. Come to think of it, I have not made one NG so far. That’s to say, there are no such long lines as to (laughs).
However, yappa ne pretty much, many vocabularies are out of my ordinary, it takes some effort memorizing them at first, a bit. Yes.
Say, I don’t know if you can call it a happening but I realized that “I’m a rain-bringer after all.” A while ago, we had to film a scene with clear sky, I mean, not rainy, but as I got off from the production van it became a little cloudy (laughs) then, although it looked like it was going to rain, we had no choice but to film then since we didn’t have time. So we filmed the scene and I went back in the van then the sky got clear. Yeah. Yappari I’m a rain-bringer, so to say. Yes.
